History

In 1951, Jack Pettigrew opened a wholesale gift showroom in the Merchandise Mart located in downtown Dallas across from today’s City Hall Plaza. For the next thirty years, Mr. Pettigrew built his gift business into one of the leading home furnishings importers/wholesalers in the Southwest United States. In 1975, John Orr became President and led the growth of Pettigrew Associates and indeed the Dallas design industry until March 2009.  In July 2010 an investor group acquired Pettigrew and launched plans to move forward into a fresh new era serving the design community.

Today Pettigrew maintains a showroom in Decorative Center Dallas in Dallas’ Design District, a trade only showroom selling on a wholesale basis to qualified interior designers, decorators, homebuilders and architects.
